Imperfect Vegan Newsletter #002

Hi there!

Welcome back to Imperfect Vegan. This week, along with introducing some basic kitchen swaps and spotlighting an eco-friendly airline, we’re celebrating a friend’s new climate change book. Oh, and for those with a sweet tooth, I’ve got a delicious chocolate pie recipe waiting just for you. Remember, every small step matters in our shared journey towards a kinder, greener world. Ready to dive in?

About the brands mentioned: White Cub vegan butter is available on Big Basket. Millies Vegan cheese is available in Bangalore & Mumbai. Lucky Vegan cheese is available in Bangalore. There are lots of other brands available but these are my favourite!

Get ready for a real game-changer: the world's first electric airline powered completely by renewable energy! It's called Ecojet, created by Dale Vince, the boss of Ecotricity. The big news? Flying with zero emissions is about to become a reality.

Here's the scoop: Ecojet is taking regular planes and giving them a green makeover with hydrogen-electric powertrains. Same old planes, but now with zero CO2 emissions. And that's not all - they're going all-in on eco-friendly with plant-based food, no single-use plastic, and green uniforms. The first eco-flights start in 2024 in the UK. Dale Vince calls this the biggest shake-up in flying since the invention of the jet engine. As a former commercial pilot, I see this as a hopeful beginning, with the potential for many other airlines to follow.

Travel-lovers, this means we can explore our wonderful world without harming it. Watch out for Ecojet – the future of green travel is almost here!
